Wednesday

Prayer & Praise
Prayer & Praise is our weekly prayer meeting to pray and to thank God for the work he is doing at our university. We also spend some time praying for other Christian Unions, our country and the world.

Prayer is such an important part of our relationship with God, Ephesians 6:18 says Prayer and Praise“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
So come along and join in with worship and lifting up UBCU in prayer to the God who wants to listen to us!!

Prayer & Praise is from 5-6pm on Wednesdays in the Cadbury Room in St Francis Hall (building O2 on the campus map).

Thursday

English Club
Time: 5-7pm
Place: Oasis Lounge, downstairs in the chaplaincy
English Club is a free opportunity open to international students for everyday conversational English practice and a discussion using Bible texts. Come along if you are an international student and would like to improve your English and meet English people. If you are a British student and would like to help out leading this event, even if you cannot commit to every week, please contact Rachel Mason.

Central
Central
Central is our main teaching meeting held every Thursday evening from 7:30-9pm in St Francis Hall (building O2 on the campus map). Each week we have a time of sung worship, a talk from the Bible by a guest speaker and a time of prayer or an IMPACT slot on practical advice for walking the talk.

Friday

CU Early Morning Prayer
Time: 8-9am
Place: Oasis Lounge in the chaplaincy
This is just a very informal prayer session to commit the campus to God and to pray for the students at the university. Please feel free to come along before lectures for half an hour or so.
For more info contact Ryan Parker

Friday Football
Every Friday during term time from 8-9pm at Bournbrook pitches. Bring along £2 lots of friends (if it’s your first time tho, don’t bother with the £2, you can come for free!).

Friday Football is an opportunity for Christians and their non-Christian friends to play some friendly, less competitive football for an hour a week. As well as playing football for an hour, we aim to provide a relaxed opportunity for people to meet other Christians and enjoy a friendly game of football, before perhaps going for a drink or curry together afterwards in Selly Oak. For more info, contact Dan Knight

CU groups

Small Groups
We have CU groups in most halls and in various houses in Selly Oak, which allow students to meet up together, learn from the Bible, pray and praise together.

To find out more about small groups, see the small groups page, or get in touch with Matt Williams.

Alpha

Alpha is an informal course for people who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him.

You won’t be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any questions you like. Or, if you prefer, you can just come along and listen.

More details to come! Email Bee Towers if you’d like to be informed when the next course begins.
