BCEC - Chinese Evangelical Church

The BCEC was started 25 years ago as a church focused on reaching out to ethnic Chinese that had never heard about God before. Since then, the church has grown to have three language congregations, with a great mixture of families, undergraduate and post-graduate students, and young working adults. It’s a place where many students have been able to make deeper connections, grow in their personal relationship with God, and be challenged to see the world with fresh perspective.

“I love this church, and it’s been so fun and amazing seeing how God has been moving and working with the brothers and sisters here. Here’s some information about the different services that we have on a Sunday. Drop us a line or come in for a visit.” – Pastor Bert

Morning Service (English language) : 09:45 and 18:30 every Sunday @BCEC

The morning service (9:45) meets near Aston University, a 15 minute walk from New Street Station. It’s a modern, friendly church that has a good family feel that worships in English. It’s a mixture of people from a variety of backgrounds, occupations and home countries. We also have some great LifeGroups that meet during the week for University students of all ages and backgrounds.

Cantonese Service (Cantonese) - 13:00 every Sunday @BCEC
Our Cantonese language service (13:00) meets at our BCEC Central building, conveniently located near the A38. It’s a warm mix of families and students from Hong Kong who’s primary language is in Cantonese. The Cantonese ministry has a University fellowship group called FaST, and meets on Saturdays.

Mandarin Service (Mandarin) — 15:30 every Sunday @BCEC

Our Mandarin language service starts at 3:30 and is a combination of families and students from China. It’s a great place to find community for those who have come over from China or Taiwan, and prefer worshipping in Mandarin. They have also have a meeting on Friday evenings for those who are curious about God, and want to know more about what it means to be a Christian.
