Encounter Church exists to help people Encounter Jesus, to Raise Disciples, and to Release Missionaries. We are passionate about seeing people transformed by encountering Jesus for themselves and want to see people grow to be more like Him.

We are a vibrant, Pentecostal church which meets in two south Birmingham locations; Selly Oak and Weoley Castle. We belong to the Elim movement of Pentecostal churches.

Sunday Morning Service: 10:30am
Sunday Evening Encounter Service: 6:30-7:30pm

We welcome students to be part of the multigenerational life of the church: from joining a connect group, to serving in our ministries; including youth, the welcome team and the worship team. These are just a few examples of the areas where you will be invited to belong, and make our church your home away from home.

LINK LUNCH
We always serve teas, coffees and cakes after our Sunday services, but twice a month this is followed by a free “Link Lunch” for students and (students of life); a great setting to meet the range of students on our church and engage in discussions on what it means to live as a Christian during our studies

​

LATE NIGHT SNACK
On Sunday Evenings, following our Encounter Service (a less structured word and worship gathering focused on pursuing God’s presence) we like to gather our students for a “Late Night Snack” so join us in fellowship over a hot chocolate!
